My work’s services are finally getting recognized locally!

The Chronicle wrote an article on the ability to log on to the Clevnet Library systems online media collection and be able to download them straight to your smartphone or computer.  The site that is on that girl’s phone is one that we have done for a long time! We have mobile versions of almost all 400+ websites that we host and it truly is a great service if you;  A: Always have late fees (those are a thing of the past with eMedia) B: Can never get to the library on time because they typically have odd hours for those workin folk. The online collection is open 24/7 and if you download audiobooks on your computer you can transfer them to just about any device you wish.  I am in no way an official spokesperson for my company, but I just wanted to inform you guys in a little bit more on what we do and yes, we offer these services to our local libraries!  Take a look, read it over and tell me what you think!  The URL for the Clevnet eMedia Collection (the one that you would use with an Elyria Public Library Card) is http://dlc.clevnet.org/

Enjoy!

Don’t be Alarmed!

I really am sorry to change the theme…AGAIN but I noticed the previous theme didn’t put the Author name at the bottom of the posts and it was driving me mad!  I should be able to add a little color to this one and I can make a custom header…Pat, maybe if you get a chance could you whip something up? The size is 720px by 180px so make it happen cap’n! As I told you all before things will change a few different times on this blog before I get settled in on a long term design.  Let me know, leave comments and whatnot on what you think!   I will also be creating an account for me as an Author so that the “Author” doesn’t say “Dontgochasingwaterfalls” I will reserve that for Admin announcements only!

computers are tricky, confusing devices

sooo…. i plugged my desktop computer into the wall.  i ravaged the basement for an old computer keyboard and i found one that types very loudly and the “backspace” button is confusingly small (which means i hit 5 buttons when i try and backspace 1)  By this point,  I became distressed and had to scoop iced cream into a coffee cup and take a break.  No need to over-do it here.  After calling my dad in, i found out how to “find” the internet (only took about 5 minutes to locate the small icon since he didn’t have his glasses on and i didn’t know what we were looking for).  Now i dragged all my music into another folder.  I’m currently downloading the newest itunes, and i’m going to start that scene over again.  my ipod was goofing up and—with my keen sense of technology—i thought starting fresh with my music altogether was my best and/or only option.  gosh, this keyboard really is loud.

i feel like i have lots of news to talk about but it’s like, i’m sort of tired.  i had no idea this computer thing was going to take so much out of me.
